    They are still comic book characters though.

    And as other people have already pointed out, comic books will form the basis for this entire thread. As it already has as all the batman supporters are pointing out Dark Knight returns as examples of batman kicking superman's ass etc.

    Maybe I'm just lamenting the fact that all the heroes in films these days seem to be comic book characters or whatnot.

    The only -vs- that matters is King Kong -v- Godzilla, and that has already been answered. Unfortunately, everytime I turn on said film I get too hypnotised by the awful dubbing to actually notice who wins. Definitely not the viewer anyway.
