Hi i recently both a fiesta and don't have the radio code. Its a 3500 RDS E.O.N radio, the serial is M170431. I'd really appreciate the help!

Hi , I have a 6000cd ford ka radio and I am looking for the serial number and code for it.When I switch it on, a number is displayed:WPRB/A69502.When I press both 1 and 6 together (2 and 6 does not do anything) another number comes up : MGPDJ5050803404RA.

Whats this gobble-de-gook?? Is any of that the serial number?

Take the Stereo out & look on the side for a sticker with the serial code on it,it should start with the letter 'M' then 6 digits:)

Oh right, so I have to take it out.So its different from some other Ford radios where you can get the code from it without removal.Ok, cheers.

Hi I have a 2006 Ford Focus. I disconnected the battery the other day and the radio now needs a security code 😞.. Look in the usual places glovebox etc. Not anywhere to be seen!

Unfortunately, unlike the M serial numbers, you can't get free codes for V serial numbers.

Try a Ford dealer, or there are various commercial unlocking services.

V codes are available - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055287102

Unlock codes for Ford radios with serial codes starting with V are not freely available online as access to Fords database is required.

If you need a V code for a a Ford stereo you should
*Visit your local Ford dealer
*Find an established radio specialist/repairer - these will usually be able to help

Hi,

The radio in my VW Golf (2002) has gone into safe mode after some recent repairs and I cannot find the user manual to get the code.

Apparantly they dont give codes out over the phone any more.

Does anybody know of any other way I can get around this without taking it to a VW Garage and getting fleeced?

Ask at your local garage as to who they use to decode their car stereos.

Ring VW and ask for it, they might be able to give it to you over the phone. I was able to do that before with a clio radio. Don't know if vw ones are the same but worth a try. All I needed was the car reg.

Grand, cheers no harm done, thanks alot for the code.

Radio is a little harder to put in the code because it displays some gobble-de-gook when I switch it on, and then after I press a number, it has to count down 28 minutes or so before I can put in the code, but what harm shur....:)
