Sorry, going to hijack your thread, but would anyone be able to advise on protein shakes for women over 50? My mum is looking for one with low cholesterol. Maybe one of the soy proteins??

    thanks

tbh all wheys will have very low cholesterol content. ON (iirc) has around 30mg per serving, Nut X Pro x has ~ 45mg and most well-known brands will have between 10-50mg cholesterol per serving. Nectar, the one you like, has <5mg cholesterol per serving so it would be ideal.

Soy protein is always an option, but expensive and difficult to come by.

Cool, thanks G'em. I wasn't sure if 30mg was good or bad..she does have high cholesterol so she's a bit worried about it. Grand so.

All the soy ones I've tried taste so nasty I ended up binning them. And I'm tight enough that I don't bin anything unless I'm absolutely certain there's no way I'll use it.
