Day time Snacks

    Hi,

I'm just wondering on any ideas for healthy snacks during the day? I'm a vegetarian so vege snacks please! Oh, and I don't like nuts either!

I eat either weetabix (3) or porridge for brekkie, but always find I'm getting hungry by about 10/11am. I generally try to bring in an apple and orange with me but that just about keeps the hunger at bay - I also get a bit peckish then about 4pm! I don't really want to post up the whole diet thing!, but just wouldn't mind some ideas as to healthy vege snacks to eat during the 9-5 work day.

    Many thanks,

    Simon

    Fruit, yoghurt, muesli bars.

I can't think of any more.

If you have access to a fridge then I'd cook/prepare stuff at home and just bring it in. How do you feel about those toasted seeds things? Also try bringing in tins of food. Chilli beans, Ratatouille Veg, etc. all available tinned so no fuss/organising and all delicious?

I also think you should post up the whole diet thing. Your diet sounds like it sucks.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yoghurt, muesli bars and seeds sound good on top of fruit.

What are the toasted seed things you mention above t-Ha? I generally do prepare sambo at home and bring it in. How do you know my diet sucks? :D

Muesli bars generally have a lot of sugar and are not much better than a mars bar really. Also, make sure it is natural youghurt, not the standard sugar laden ones most people eat.

Eggs are good, do you eat eggs?

Alpen Light Bars are really nice and are relatively low in carbs and sugar.Better than yoghurts.

Come in choclate and orange flavour! Only 60 cals

Will give muesli bars a miss so.
    No choc yoghurts then?!

Yep, I love eggs - how many eggs is too many in a given day / week?
