Hey, I got the slender pro shake today and its gorgeous
I had one serving as soon as I got it to be nosey

It says on tub take 1 serving between brekkie and lunch and the 2nd serving between lunch and dinner

    Is this right?

Ill take one serviing after training which is between brekkie and lunch but should I take my other serving before I train or is between lunch and dinner ok

When should I see difference in my body?

Should I try to lift as heavy weights as I can or stick with light weights to see toned upper body?

Just want to lose fat from lower body?

Thanks a lot guys for any help you can give me

Also what sort of reps/sets do you recommend for upper body and lower body

Im running about 40 mins before lifting so don't want to be in the gym all day

Short and sweet, to get maximum benenfit is what Im looking for
Dont want to be slave to the gym either

It depends on your goals, but I'd suggest that you lift heavy (pick the heaviest weight you can manage with good form for 10 reps) and then have a protein shake afterwards.

Unless you are trying to put on weight, having shakes between meals probably isn't a good idea. By all means, have one instead if you are too rushed for proper food.

You can't spot reduce. All you can do is burn lots of calories and eventually some of the fat will get used up. "Toning" is a waste of time. If you want to see any results, you have to train hard and lift heavy, and at the end of it, you'll look toned. I promise, no matter how hard you lift, you won't look like Arnie.

Most will do weights before the cardio (your running), maybe after a short 5min warmup.

This means you are full of energy so can lift more, this stimulates more muscle growth. Building muscle uses up lots of calories, and maintaining it uses calories. So lifting heavy helps you lose fat.

Any woman/man you see that you consider "toned", is probably lifting heavy weights. "toned" is a combination of low body fat and developed muscle.

Just a few questions on this - I have a whey protein suppliment that I tend to drink (with milk rather than water) about an hour or so before I go to the gym, which would be 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri).

Would I be better off drinking this after the gym, or even having another shake afterwards in addition to the one I have before? Or would I be better having the first shake way earlier in the day and then another straight afterwards?

I've seen some people around here talking about the drinks they bring with them to the gym, I imagine they use these instead of drinking water or have them to drink straight after a training session - what kind of thing would these contain?

Also, am I better off only having the shake on days when I'm training or should I have it every day?

My goal is to build up a little bit of muscle in my upper body as well as 'tone up' and get generally in shape - not looking to be huge, just a bit bulkier and well defined (eventually).

    Thanks.

    Thats brilliant thank you both
Ive starting lifting heaveir since monday
Im lifting weight for upper body twice a week and lower body twice a week
Do you think this is enough

Im do 3 sets of 8-10 reps at my heaviest weight with good form

Do you think taking the protein shake between lunch and dinner is pointless so
Should I just take it after training

Ideally you should consume food every 3 hours, with protein in each meal. Having a protein shake before and after your workout is vital. The shake before sets up your body into an anabolice state and the one after maintains that state. It is the window of opportunity. Having a shake before sleepie time is also vital as your body will use this protein like a drip system keeping protein in your blood and keeping your body anabolic.
Personally ON gold standard whey is the best, for taste and quality:) Muscle milk also brilliant before bedtime:)
