Cardio/Spin

Been lurking here for a while, seems to be some good advice dished out so I'm going to draw on the experience of everyone else...

I'm currently doing a programme, which consists entirely of lifting split 70/30 free weights to machine weights... Been at it a few weeks and i'm starting to see results so its all good. I train in the mornings three days a week before work but i'm looking at maybe doing a bit of cardio to supplement it one evening, probably a saturday evening when i have an hour free.

So basically my question is whether spin classes would be a good way to supplement my programme or would i be better just sticking to a normal cardio workout in the gym?

    Cheerse in Advance,

Can you cycle to and from work?.

I walk to and from work. Approx 2 miles each way. The morning is usually farely fast paced (deu to lateness) and the walk home less so. Cycling isn't really an option due to lack of changing facilities at my destination.

My thoughts would be that your doing enough and should only throw in the spinning classes if, either your going to really enjoy it or if you think you have enough recovery for it to be beneficial.

Spinning (if done properly and with enough intensity) can be very strenous, and I say this all the time.

Never be exhausted leaving the gym. You should be leaving with a feeling of great well being and fatigued but with enough energy to allow you recover your energies for the rest of the day/week - working and training.
