    Hi All,

I am a complete novice when it comes to fitness and weights. Basically i want to lose my beer belly. I am 6ft and weigh around 14st 7lbs. I want to get down to around 12 and a half stone gradually. I also want to build muscle my biceps 6 pack the usual

I do an hour on the treadmill every second night but i am unsure what to do weights wise. I have a multi gym, is this is any good for building muscle or should i just be doing weights on a bench? I also want to change my diet, any links to diets i could try? I'd appreciate your opinions here and apologise for any stupid questions.

    Hey Jockey,

Stop eating processed stuff, lift heavy and just go for it. If you cut out all junk, and allow yourself one cheat day when you ccan eat yorkies for breakfast if you want then you will see big changes,

An hour on a treadmill is a long time, look at www.crossfit.ie and take it from there,

I was in a similar position to you a few months ago and a few small changes made a massive difference to my physique,

Read the stickys as well. Try and have 5 or 6 meals a day, with protein and good greens if you're able. Do squats and deadlifts.

I dont to be honest but PM Colm O'Reilly an see what he says, you can of course do the workouts from the site, www.crossfit.ie

I find the instruction invaluable and the class element is great cos it makes me push myself that little harder,
