    Hi guys,

First time posting here, looks like a good forum. Anyway my friend injured himself and can't train for 6 months so he gave me 2 x 4kg tubs of "Mass X" for free because he can't use them. This is the exact product:

    http://www.fitnessireland.ie/product_info.php?products_id=435

The date on them just says "2008" on a white label, just wondering if anyone knows is this start of 2008 or end of 2008?

    Cheers

2008 sounds a bit vague, to hazard a guess i'd say the end of 2008

I think supps can be taken 3 months after the best before date, protein powder that is.

I worked in a shop (eurospar) and all dates where treated as "best before end of" weither it said "end of" or not

Best before simply means what it says, the product will be at its best (mainly best taste) before that date. It is "use by" dates that you really have to watch out for, where stuff becomes toxic after that date.

Store in a dry, cool dark place.
