my boyfriend and i are trying to get more active - every saturday on the sofa can't be good for you. so we wanna get active. we're already going to start jogging, and cycling, but we want to play tennis.
i've been looking all over dublin (via google,of course.) and i can't find anywhere. we don't really want to join a tennis club, because we just want to play casually. is the only other option joining a gym, like alsaa or westwood?

Please help me get off of the sofa!!!

I think the Spawell offer pay per use on their tennis courts. Not 100% sure though.

Also, check out the racket sports forum.

St Annes Park in Raheny has public courts, next to the pitch & putt course.

Not sure if they're still there - but there used to be tennis courts in beside the swimming pool in Clondalkin. I know they've since built astroturf soccer pitcches on the site but may have kept the tennis courts as well.

The courts there used to be quite nice (used to play as a kid), but they've really let them go to sh!t. I guess there's not much money in providing sport's facilities to Celtic Tigerees. Surprised they haven't thrown up a few apartments there TBH :(
