Well, he has a book called '25 Fitness Secrets the exercise authorities never told you!' which pretty much makes him a moron/sell-out in my book. As for the protein - protein is protein, I find it hard to imagine one that's so good that people would give it rave reviews. Get protein from a supplement store, it'll be as good but cheaper.

Can you say why exactly? they seem to have the same products as most people. Maybe you just want more natural then go for natural flavours and sucralose as a sweetner - dorian yates has a new brand with this and it also has pro and pro biotics.

OP could be lactose intolerant or celiac?

i suppose an isolate product should be ok. I know someone with lactose intolerence and they can handle isolate less then 0.5% lactose.

    hey guys

i am currently looking for a supplement that is free from the above ingredients.

Any whey protein isolate ("whey" supplements usually come in one of three forms: concentrate, hydrosylate and isolate) will be lactose, wheat and gluten free. It will tend to be more expensive though so be prepared to pay bigger bucks for it.

If you're not actually allergic to the above ingredients though there's really no need to go for isolate and go for a regular concetrate or a blend. Personally I'm a big fan of all the natural extras that a concentrate has to offer.

I've a severe allergy to all dairy products and eggs - lucky me! - and, while I don't take any supps at the moment, it is something that I've considered.

Before looking at this thread I've never found a protein supp that I could take, but was passing Holland & Barrett today and had a quick look and it seems like the soy protein isolate could work for me... Anyone else got any ideas? I really can't have any trace of dairy in my diet as I get very sick very quickly...

Species Nutrition Isolyze has no carbohydrates, no lactose, and no fat.

Fairly expensive but tastes great and probably the best protein on the market.

Have a look at nectar aswell http://www.universalnutrition.ie/viewproduct/69. No carbs and no fat and fairly sure theres no lactose in it.

Optimum Nutrition make a "Gold Standard" whey that seeems to have minimal effect on those with lactose intolerance

soy-derived protein supplements are fine for dairy intolerant folk.

As a bloke though I wouldn't take too much...
