Hi guys first time post here in the Fitness section so bare with me. Iv recently finished my exams and started work experience before my exams in college I was going to the gym around 3 times a week but had to stop during the exams. I'm back going to the gym after work in the evenings now but I have this habbit of when I go to the gym I do half the session cardio and half on weights am I wasting my time doing this or would I be better off doing seperate sessions. I'm just wondering if u guys would have any suggestions for me. Should I get a training plan done up for me or just do every second session?
    Thanks guys.

would be idea to get a training plan done by a personal trainer in your gym so they can track your progress, if its fine to do wat you are doing just make sure you do your weights fist followed by your cardio, this way when you are doin cardio your are burning fat for fuel instead of muslce glycogen

Thanks dave80 to be honest I had been doin a 15- 20min run followed by 20-30 weights then 15 cardio again so will try to do the weights first from now n untl i get a program done up. How many times a week would be ok to train this way or is it only after a heavy weights session u need a rest period?
