Is it not just subscribers that can start threads in Thunderdome? Nobody (well the admins can, maybe smods) can start threads in the new Events forum so noone can win the chocolate.

Edit: Zaph bet me to it.

Well thats different, how embarassing that we made all those from Nazi soldiers look after our children.

I won't ban you from Paranormal now :p

    [edit]

    *eek* ermm oh dear :(

The thunderdrome bit interested me the most. Agree about starting threads on calling people out. A good idea to let them know and see if they want to post or not.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,277 ✭✭✭✭Rb

Lol at the yore ma jokes in the paranormal report.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,297 ✭✭✭Ron DMC

Only got around to listening just now. Not bad at all at all.

I really want some Kinder Egg now.

The thread of the day feature is a great idea, specifically when listening back to old podcasts. Other than the TOTD link in the menu, is there any way of seeing what threads have been the most active recently?

And as for making your name Irish, I did the opposite to create my boards username, it's an Anglicised version of my name (which is already as Gaeilge).

Looking forward to the next one.

Lol I wonder how many people have gone into the new Events forum and tried to stick in 'First post w00t!'

6th is serving 7 to 10 for crimes which can not be discussed. Just tell yourself he's dead and walk away.

    Great work again lads.

Out of interest, how come you didn't want to bring your cars up to the hellfire club? Not safe to leave them sitting there in general or has there been previous incidents?

    It's Tallaght?

    It's Tallaght?
    Snob.

    :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,247 ✭✭✭✭6th

Actually its not Tallaght. The cars would have been ok, in fact on our way down we met another group of people and they left their cars down at the gate - 6 guys and one girl all under 20.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,913 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

6 guys and one girl? Did you make sure she was there voluntarily?

I actually did, I gave her a get out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,913 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

So to go with you or get buggered by the 6 lads? And she chose the lads! Lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

I think she was hoping to give the 'Ballymun incident' a run for it's money.

A big criticism of this podcast is havingto listen to people fcukin' eating! Yeah chocolate bunnies might be funny but it made alot of the podccast sh1t for meand I ignored a fair bit of it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,913 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Not as bad as people swearing every second word though ;)

It's the Gerry Ryan style of presenting.

I agree with you here. If you're going to make a podcast for people to listen to, do we have to listen to what sounds like a load of drunk people swearing into a tape recorder?

I don't mind the jokes or profanity in general but this wasn't a Colin Farrell movie, I was listening to it in my office on call and I actually had to turn off the so-called paranormal bit because of 6th swearing every word. Was there a reason for it or do you actually talk like that?

I'm not ultra-conservative or anything (I have cinemax ;)) but there are limites to taste and decency.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,247 ✭✭✭✭6th

The lads bring it out in me. In fairness though we didnt exactly sit down to do a podcast, I've done a fair bit of radio and usually manage keep it PG. I promise to keep it to a minimum if I ever do an actual podcast for Boards ;)
