Nominations and hats in the ring for Moderatorship

I'm also going to allow expressions of support, which I dont normally bother with, (its one man one vote, i'm the man ) but this time this is an established community and you guys may want to have some expression of support in this regard...

So, either put your own name here, or express support for someone else here. There is no "negative support", so if you DON'T want someone, too bad.

Rovi's a good choice by my books for the general forum.

Sparks and/or IRLConor for target shooting perhaps.

For sale, all mods are equally good.

Not sure who to nominate for hunting, but Rovi seems to have a pretty cool head on him for that job as well.

That said, and amp test aside, I'd be happy to do anything as well. Spend too much time on here as is.

I'm OK with being a mod. I've heard the pay is good. :D

Thanks for the votes of confidence folks, they're much appreciated.
I'd be honoured to take on the position, but I won't be upset if it goes elsewhere; I was, after all, present during the 'Bad Times' and the Admins may think it best to make a clean break.
I won't participate any further in this thread (unless I'm addressed directly), but whoever Mods this forum in future will receive my full support.

As long as I have been a member of boards this forum has always been full of bitching and fighting. With the lack of an on site mod there are lots of posts of late that make me cringe at how poorly they reflect the shooting community.

The main reason I would like to mod this forum is to keep it running smoothly, simple really. I like boards and I'd like to help run the shooting forum.

Some posters are going beyond the charter of the forum and we need an on forum mod. I will be happy with whoever gets it to be honest.

All the best names have been suggested though so lets look forward to a better forum.

While the urge has got me is? it a good idea to compile the reloading posts Q&A or what ever is deemed suitable as material to foward on to who ever
as the capacity of me pc and me brain cant cop it.

Civdef in a heartbeat as well if he hadn't already withdrawn (maybe he'd reconsider if it was for a no-politics forum like hunting or target shooting?)

JayCee I understand from talking to him is having far too much fun with his new .308, but if he was interested in taking it up again, he'd have my vote.

IRLConor for target shooting, definitely (and don't let them be stingy with the coke and hookers Conor!).

We really, really ought to have an actual hunter for Hunting - NoNameRanger I would have thought, if he's willing, but I don't know the hunting end of things too well.

Missed that Vegeta had volunteered initially - if he's willing, he gets my vote.

Thanks everyone who suggested me, I'm happy to do it again if you're happy to have me do it (but to be honest, I don't have any expertise in hunting so someone else should take that forum).

And might I ask that we get at least one clay shooter to help out? DTL, ISSF, Sporting, doesn't matter that much, but we're under-represented there.

The reason for this is that when he was a mod,
he treated every thread as something he had to respond to himself,
hence every thread became Sparks opinion on whatever..

Since he has not been a mod it would seem to me,
he only contributes on the threads he has a direct interest in,
the same as everyone else on the forum.

I would like to propose the following individuals;
1: Rovi: A gentleman with an encyclopaedic knowledge and a nice attitude, especially to newcomers.
2. RRPC: a knowledgeable and helpful person especially in the areas where facts were more valuable than opinions.
3. Sparks: because everybody on this section of the Boards has come to expect a row over trivia and he has shown himself to be the master of this area.

Foxshooter243 know his stuff, would be a great mod.

Think we need a good spread of disciplines in the mods.

Air Rifle, Clay shooters etc.

Personally I would like to see Antique firearms represented by someone knowledgeable on the subject, they're under the same laws so I feel they have as just a case for discussion here as in the Antiques & Collectables forum.

If elected my first move will be to ban all other mods, and change my boards name to OVERLORD.

I will then provide free implants to both male and female subjects (who am I to judge)! Make Ireland the new silicone valley.:D

To solve the housing problem we are faced with, I intend to provide cheap and affordable housing, in the form of Wendy houses.;)

I will also, chain myself naked to the gates of the DoJ offices, until every shooters demands on boards are met.:cool:

I will organise shoot em up days. These will consist of members of boards been able to use there firearms to shoot at old cars filled with tannerite.:eek:

I will also organise trips to Yemen for shooting tours. :pac:
