I know this probably sounds like a calorie counting anorexic girl but im trying to do my own version of the Beach diet, so im doing the excerise, running gym, and weights, and the diet, I am trying to eat more protien as ive been advised to do so as im taking in more carbs and aint moving any weight...but ive just had a chicken and bacon salad but it was laced with mayo and now im thinking I should have had a burger and be done with it!!! Hate that its all gone to waste.

How much calories would I have taken in on that one "meant to be healthy" meal? does anyone know?

I will be running straight after work probably 4-5 miles and have some fruit to take in the afternoon to give me fuel for this.

But will not have anything after as think ive overdone it with the damn mayo.

Im am trying to cut back but also worry then that my body will do the opposite and hold onto them love handles for fear of losing the extra fat from not eating enough?? its hard to know if your doing it right, getting the right balance.

    All replies welcome.

    Planning.

    Its all down to planning.

No one here can tell you how many calories were in that salad as we don't know how it was prepared or how big the portion was. Could have been a JCB bucket sized salad with gallons of mayo with kentucky fried chicken. The salad would prob be better from a nutritional point of view though. Burger = processed everything (they are bloody lovely though mmmmmmmmm burgers)

If you prepare your own meals you will know exactly what's in them. I know this is hard and difficult at times but that's the reality of it.

So the first question I ask is, how many calories a day are you trying to get in?

How many meals a day are you eating?

How many of those meals do you prepare yourself?

    Hello Sis! (and running buddy)

Yep, stickies, read-them-now! Some of them are long BUT are super interesting and hold the key to all you could possibly need to know..

I agree with Vegeta, its boring as hell but either preparing meals in advance or stocking up in work and at home with cans of tuna (some nice flavoured ones out at the mo) or pre-prepared salads with eggs or chicken for lunch, and thinking lean cuts of meat or fish with lots of veg in the evening. Plus, nuts are SOOO handy for keeping the hunger at bay during the day (and night).. Plus, drink more water, or green/white tea..

Plus, think we'll be doing more HIIT again, i've just read how to do it properly thanks to boards!

    Cya

Relax about the salad. It wont kill you. Just jump straight back on the wagon and learn from this.

    Eat less crap, exercise more.

Healthy living is not just for Summer so you can get your pasty white belly out in a bikini, it's supposed to hopefully be a life change. So don't kill yourself over one meal. As long as the good stuff generally outweighs the bad stuff all will be well in the end.
