You must pay the months subscription including the connection fee. The fact that you have the full Sky package will make no difference.

Had the same problem with setanta as my dish had moved slightly, the channels were freezing.Got the dish realigned and no problems since.

You can but move the dish ever so slightly in one direction and then check the signal strength to make sure you moved it in the correct direction. If you did then great. If not then move it back. Be prepared to lose all tv channels if something goes wrong.

    That would be Santana Sports.

Setanta Sports are a different crowd to sky.

And if you lose signal when aligning the dish, just move it back the other way. It's not so hard, have a friend keeping an eye on the telly/signal meter and you'll be sorted in no time!

    A great guide on aligning:

There is a Sticky thread on the top of the Satellite forum already covering the woes of many having the same issue.

One thread is enough on Setanta signal woes. So I'm closing this, also changing thread title for the benefit of those who search forums.

Another thing worth checking, btw, is the cable. Last week, I'd to deal with someone who had the same issue. As signal at the dish was OK, I changed all the RG6 that was being used with TX100 (Triax "CT100"), and that fixed the problem. That's not to say that RG6 is at fault in all circumstances (always check alignment first), but it was in this guy's case.
