It's Friday, time for a well?

I think it's time for a proper poker player to jump in here; looking back at the old threads, they seem to be mainly internet pros. I'd like to chuck in a live cash pro for a change - any suggestions?

Sadly hotspur is wellshy. I agree that Laf would be good in there, no mincing of words really, and there will be a good contrast of sober posts and drunken posts to really entertain.

Smurph there is no way i would play cash live on it's own for a living. while profitable it's not sustainable long term imo. i prefer it from grinding on the internet but i know the majority of my income comes from the internet.

I do prefer playing live because it's more social, but need to remind myself every now and then that it's just not as profitable.;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,070 ✭✭✭Ollieboy

Smurph should do it, best woman player in Ireland and great for oneliners, she put the french man in his place at the Irish Open...

God Mickste I know that your would not be playing live as the only means, if you add in the Chief factor etc., etc., the varience is huge, I meant that you don't say much about your online stuff, and seem to enjoy the B&M aswell.... so how about a well..... go on,,,,

Thanks for the kind words ollie, but in fairness im a purely casual player, and would not have too much interesting to say.

Ps im probably the only female boardsie that you know lol
and as for the Best Woman player in ireland - just rofl

Sam (the dealer) is streets ahead of me .....
    Willow connolly,
Denise (manager in Fitz) great holdem and omaha player.... etc.,etc.,

Haven't the most entertaining wells come from those with more life experience? Not saying the younger lads wells wouldn't be good, but just think of all the cool stories the old fogies have around here :)

mmmmmmmm the well, what may i ask is this well that you mention. im intrigued by this well.

Someone gets "thrown down the well" for a week or so, and has to answer all question put to him/her. It started up here shortly after RoundTower did one over on the 2+2 Omaha section, iirc. If you check out "The Poker Guide" sticky, you can find most of the ones done here. [BTW, rounders123 needs to be added to the sticky, damn inefficient mods :)).

Thanks Ian and Ritchie for the 'nomination', but apart from some extremely drunken under-rolled sessions in the Crane Club in Mullingar, I don't play much these days. The 'well' deserves someone with a bit more enthusiasm (I'm just a poker cynic these days!).

Also, someone tell Hotspur to cop himself on. Although the weight of expectation may be too much for him now...

If we're looking for a live regular degenerate, how about Dominic? (5starpool)

Edit to add: Ozpoker would be interesting as well. He seems to have been on the scene a long time, and there doesn't seem to be many around here with a 2+2 magazine article to their name.

Personally I'd prefer to hear from somebody playing high(er) stakes because I might learn something. I thought that was pretty much the point of these things (at least it is on 2+2 anyway).

That's the way it started here too. But along the way it's changed much more into a "This is your life". Some people seem to prefer it that way.
