    Hi,

Do any of you know where to sell designer clothes. My wife has an enormous amount of unworn and worn once or twice designer clothes. She has them in our attic and told me the other day that she would flog them if she knew where to go with them. There are labels that any girl would love to wear. She probably has kept Brown Thomas afloat for the past 10 years!! Any ideas??

    e-Bay.

Newmills, I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on this thread and I will lock it if I see anything other than responses with the name of an online or real life shop.

I don't want to hear what labels the clothes are or what sizes they are - if you want to sell boards.ie users a bunch of your wife's designer cast-offs, that's what adverts.ie is for.

This goes for our regular users as well - newmills is a newbie with only 12 posts, which is why this thread is still open, but I expect you lot to know better than to start bidding on this thread mmmkay?

Sorry moderator but i'm not looking to flog them to anyone who emails me and they will not be on adverts.ie. I simply wanted to know if there was a shop or web based shop that buys them. I'm not having every tom dick and harry call and mail me then arrive at my house to browse through the items!! Ebay is a thought but having been stung by paypal in the past I am wary of that route. Sorry again.

It's not a problem, newmills, I'm just the nasty rottweiler moderator on this sort of thing.

I think - I know this isn't great help - but I *think* there is a shop in Sandymount that sells second-hand designer gear. I don't know if they'll buy but it could be worth a try? Sorry, haven't lived in Ireland for a while, but could be worth searching goldenpages.ie for clothes stores in the area...

Is there still a place in Temple Bar that sells second hand clothing?

Otherwise I'd say eBay would be your best bet, Paypal or no.

Jenny Vander or would they not really be vintage enough?
(Jenny vander is in castle market?)

It sounds like a treasure trove.

You could try setting up a stall at a market for a few weeks. Would cost about 50 quid a day probably.
