Had to get up early just to make sure that the internet was working properly today. Only and hour to go until my browsers refresh button gets overworked.

    Edit:
Oh, and there were apparently some emails sent out yesterday to a few people that had the wrong phone numbers in them in case anyone is using that old technology:
    The international sales line is 0044 1159 934 183.
The UK sales line is 0800 079 2008.

Seetickets now appears to be struggling with the load already and have put up "server busy" pages everywhere. :(

stickin a https in worked for me

    https://www.seetickets.com

Thanks for that, thought it was taking them a bit of a while to switch the servers pages round.

If it is anything like last year, it'll be 3 frantic hours of refreshing until you get to the booking page, and then the fear factor of your computer crashing while your confirming your details.

    Worth it though

It was so much simpler when I first went and we only decided to go the week before hand, popped down to some small record store in Bristol and handed over our £55 quid.

This getting up early on a Sunday morning thing really doesn't suit me.

I think the link to the ticket page is http://www.seetickets.com/g08/ but don't hold me to that. Good look folks :)

Was just thinking the same thing... Being able to use a laptop in bed makes things a little easier, but being awake at this ungodly hour on a Sunday is just plain wrong!:p

Link for NON-UK residents order page:

    http://www.seetickets.com/g2008/regform.asp?orig=int&filler3=cobo

There are other variations on that if you want coach/ train/ or UK tickets though.

Shout and I'll add them up but too busy hitting F5 right now for myself.

I got to http://www.seetickets.com/g2008 booking page

Clicked book now and it crashed

    No joy yet.

Just got the page of links up and not got any further yet. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 216 ✭✭KJF

Not yet, servers are just timing out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27 Murt_

I hope this isn't 2004 all over again, when tickets were on sale up to 2pm because the servers couldn't handle the load.

At least in 06 and 07 you were put in a kind of a queue.

My girlfriend is helping out this year, she just asked my "Last year is this what you did, just sat there refreshing for 2 hours??" "No dear, it was more like 4 hours"

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 24,144 Mod ✭✭✭✭robinph

It will be one of the lines of the address that you have with them, probably county.

You cannot have any spaces in the postcode field though.

i used dublin X as mine and it accepted. I guess check your registration email and whatever was the last line.

Not sure if we have tix or not

your registration email does not give your post code just your ref number

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 416 ✭✭scary

same here, brother got in and it timed out at card details aswell so either we have 2 each :) or none :( figers crossed and hopefully some sort of confirmation mail arrives.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 24,144 Mod ✭✭✭✭robinph

No confirmation email for me yet either, but the one to remind me that the tickets went on sale today didn't arrive until 11pm last night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 503 ✭✭✭pistonsvox

would you say the site is jammed or theyre sold out?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 24,144 Mod ✭✭✭✭robinph

You must have entered something in the postcode field when registering.

What would you normally put in there? dublin/ ireland/ 111111/ xxxxxx /??????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭beans

Check the email that you received on first registering, that has the post-code info :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 71 ✭✭Pastel_Princess

I got to the page to enter registration codes and then it failed to load the next page :(

That happened to me too, I just kept going back to the original booking page when i got the busy page. Worked in the end!

When I was registering for Glastonbury I used 'Eire' as my postcode, so I entered that and it accepted it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 285 ✭✭Samuri Suicide

that email just thanks u for registering and gives u the reg number...im looking at it now

i just put in 00(which is my glastoreg post code) and it wont read it and says i didnt put in postcode

A friend's registration email shows the following (UK address)
    # Your postcode (or substitute postcode if you registered overseas) se114tu

Mine shows nothing there, so I'm going to try using 12345 whenever I manage to get in... (Fairly sure that's what I used when registering)
