Quick powerlifting Q!

    Hey guys
    just a quick question. I'm doing the Single leifts in Cahir tommorrow (just to get started in the sport - my ecuse for woeful numbers ill be putting up) anyhow as its my first one quick few questions
    Will i be able to deadlift in socks as have no converses?
    waht time roughly do these things end at? Have my sis's bday that night so just wondering!

    No you won't be allowed to deadlift in socks, buttttt you are allowed wear slippers like these http://www.liftinglarge.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=34

    Obviously you don't have time to order a pair, so you could wear swimming socks if you can get your hands on a pair, or even ballet slippers. I'm pretty sure that once they have a rubberised sole you can wear them.

    Alternatively ask someone who's not lifting in your flight for a lend of theirs, or just wear whatever shoes you'd normally wear.

    Remember your socks have to cover your shins and stop below your knees. I think they're aiming to be finished in time for the a BBQ before/during tomorrow's Munster match so you should make it to your sis's birthday.
