Recording from home security camera

Hello all,

Just wondering if anybody can suggest something that would allow me to hook up my outdoor camera (it has phono video and audio connections) to my PC, I assume a video capture card would do the job, but is it possible to have it only record when it detects motion ? I know that there are free programs available (Yawcam etc.) that allow you do this with a webcam but does anybody know if there is a way of doing it with the camera I currently have in place?

Not sure if this is the right section to post this either!

try http://www.axis.com for a solution, they have some video server units that hook up to cctv camera.
