Want to loose my stomach

I have been losing weight for the past few months and i'm almost at my target weight. I would be quite happy at 9 and half stone and i have another stone to lose. But i don't see myself losing my stomach in a stone.

I have been told the only way to get rid of the stomach is sit ups. But i honestly can't do 1. My back gets very sore from doing it. Is there anything i could do to get rid of my stomach? Are those ab rollers any good?

Your stomach is the internal organ!

Please use terms such as tummy, belly etc

Unless you actually wanna exercise to lose your STOMACH

Ab rollers are the same motion so I doubt you cant do 1 sit up

And you dont need to come up all the way

You could try the machine for your Abs, and dont forget your Obliques

Also work on your lower back as (1) it should help tighten your tummy from the back, and (2) should make sit ups easier

But be warned, its one of the toughest areas to shift fat, and as a woman you will have a naturally higher bodyfat percentage

    Hows your diet?

    A detox might help

If you post your diet and exercise routine we could critique that for you. That would help you lose the excess weight around your midsection.

Go to the gym for about an hour and a half 3 times a week. Depending on the weather if its raining or not, i would walk about hour, maybe more when im not in the gym. And i have taken up swimming which i do once a week. I use those weight machines in the gym also.

As for my diet. I don't drink alcohol. I drink 3/4 litres of water a day. I have muesli in the morning. maybe snack on a handful of nuts until lunch. Lunch i have a tuna sandwhich with brown bread and a yorgurt. Never eat dinner cause im always in work. But in the evening i would have a bowl of porridge.

You can do all the sit-ups in the world, it won't make you lose your tummy (good news for you I guess!)
To lose the tummy you need to lower your bodyfat all over - no such thing as targeted fat loss!

Keep up the exercise, but, most important thing is diet, and yours is pretty poor, so that's where I would start. Read the stickies at the top of the forum for information on what and when you should be eating, yours is severly lacking in protein, not to meantion vegetables and many other things.

    you can't target fat loss.
what are you doing in the gym?

when do you have lunch? when do you have the evening bowl of porridge? i think that the length of time between eating would slow your metabolism down, when you want to speed it up.

I couldn't do sit ups either and i got an abs roller and its really helped!! It did hurt my back a bit but I kept it up and now its fine. I can do lots of sit ups without it now so I think you should get it. You can easily do 300 while watching tv its great :D
