Joining Westwood

    Hey all,

I'm looking to join Westwood in Clontarf in the next few weeks. Any ideas on the prices I'll be looking at. I'm 22, almost 23, so I'm presuming I don't qualify for a student membership, despite the fact I have a valid student card.

I was a member about 2 years ago, so will I have to pay the joining on fee again?

Also there is another Gym recently opened near me, called Regency Leisure. I had a look at the site and it doesn't seem to have much in weights, etc, seems to be more aimed at cardio work. Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with the place.

    Cheers,
    BigWilly

With Total Fitness a student card wasn't enough, you need a letter or some form of correspondence from your college to prove that you go there.

I joined in the middle of the summer so that could be why my card wasn't enough - they didn't know whether I was still a student like I might have finished that June for all they knew.

It's probably the same deal there.

If you have a valid student card then get yourself a USIT card in town, then you only pay 55 a month, not sure about the joining fee though

Joining fee for March was cut from 350 to 150 euro. You could try and get that deal still I guess.
