What's a good alternative to bread? I'm eating way too much of it at the moment. Would something like rice cakes be better?

I use ryvita myself, sesame and sunflower seed flavours or good, occasionally I'll push the boat out and have a whole meal pitta or two lol.

    Totally forgot about Ryvita! Thanks.
I'm training away but eating sandwiches and rolls for lunch every day and I think this is the reason i'm not getting the results I want.

i'm thinking (well i've already started..and hope to keep up) of giving up bread altogether.
So far so good. Its not that i've anything against carbs...but i really do think bread is killing me slowly!

So i might be doing this a little ott, but anything with cereals is going to be a no-no for the next while.
Obviously that'll be tough cuz there are so many foods out there that use cereals.
I'm not a celiac or anything and can quite easily eat any type of cereals but its the feeling I get afterwards that just makes me feel so sluggish and crappy that i'm thinking it wouldn't do me any harm to give it a go.

It means for me, having to skip the normal breakfast cereals in the morning and opting for things like eggs, fruit, nuts & seeds etc.

Then there's no bread for lunch..so at the moment i've been eating salads loaded with protein (tuna, chicken etc) and having some more fruit.

Dinners not so bad, i'll have my chicken/beef stir fry but will leave out the rice/pasta/noodles etc.

Anyway if anyone had adopted something similar to this i'd be really appreciative of any suggestions of meals etc that are handy to make and will fill me up.

I think I'd find it easier if I was fond of salads but I'm not. I force myself to eat them because they're good for me but I don't really like them.

yeah, i know what you mean! They can be a bit crappy. But i always make them up myself so i make them real tasty! :)
I'll have the salad leaves, then put in the chicken pieces or tuna. Add avocado (really love this) and finish it off with tomatoes and a spinkling of sunflower and pumpkin seeds.
MOst of the time i'll only add like a teaspoon or two of dressing (tesco healthy living ones are nice).
