Tommy Tiernan might be somewhat offensive,and not hugely funny most of the time,simply acting super Irish to try and get a laugh,but there's no way he's as offensively bad as Des Bishop who somehow manages to sell out shows up and down the land.

i doubt he'd dare to be the least bit offensive...at least tommy tiernan has balls...

thats said..i dont find him funny

Tiernan is a horrendousl overrated comedian. However, if the joke was any good Im glad he is offending the politically correct, who should really get over themselves.

Having said that, it is Tiernan. So rather than it being a brilliant satirical take on the way certain foreigners speak (like the flawless impression of pretty much any Frenchman Ive ever met that my mate does. Or the similiarly flawless "aw man pure off me nuh at da weekend, got sthuck into some moh waaaahhhh" impression of the schwars a French lad I know whos lived here for 12 years does, Tiernans probably went something like "Oh hello! I am Slavowzazank Slazawoazananski. I cook dee burgers in dee burger king and like to drink the tyskie and take the ecstasys and listen to dee Poland techno"

Hes a 3rd rate rip off of Bill Hicks and 50 other "angry man who hates the world" comedians.

I'd call myself a Tommy Tiernan fan when i first saw him all those years ago i thought he was hilarious... but i don't think you can compare the old Tommy with the new one. The old Tommy hardly ever shouted he spoke softy and he the audience eating out of his hand.
Now a days he just shouts and makes duck noises .. i still do find some of his stuff funny and would watch him on tv. Maybe he feels the need to shout because he's playing bigger venues someone should remind him he has a microphone.
The best thing about his "ok baby" DVD was the bonus material of him on the stand up show in 1998. It's fantastic and i hope he can't back to that.

I used to love tommy tiernan, but was getting tierd of him shouting and acting the Tw*t on stage but his last DVD did it for me with all the downs syndrome stuff, I myself have cerebral palsy and dont mind the odd joke, but his DVD was way over the top. I emailed him to tell him what I thought, in a poilte and nice way, said I thought he was funny and didnt feel he had to scrap the barrell so low.......No reply

@ Kellybelly: I think the majority of the "anti-tommy" posters here are saying his material is not funny, not specifically that his racist jokes are not funny.

@ BrazilliaNZ: Ross Noble, now there is a comedian. That guy is brilliant. Anyone who's not seen him, check it out, runs pretty much his entire show from audience heckles & feedback.

Someone mentioned earlier about how Tommy should go back to his old days and stop shouting, have the audience eating out of his hand. His best joke to me would be the school boy poem joke.

Very softly spoken joke that went down a treat. Brilliant work back then Tommy, brilliant.
