    Hey all,

Do any of you know the best place to buy creatine? I bought a big jar of the powdered version in Dublin @ €75. It lasted about a month (loading week + maintenance). Is there any cheaper places? A friend suggested buying online but I'm not sure about the 'authenticity' of getting it online. Also, I find taking 2 creatine drinks a day kind of annoying. I know you can take it as tablet form. Do any of you know which is more effective, powder or tablet (or any other form for that matter)?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I am not expert, but 75 bills worth in a month seems like a helluva lot!
I got €30 worth and it lasts a year!

But to answer your question, any of the places mentioned above will do the trick, it's all above board, well known brands like NutritionX etc.

€30s worth could not possibly have lasted you a year. You get 500g for around €30. I bought my 1103g one for €75.

1103g in little over a month, wow thats a hell of a lot of creatine.

little over a month, lets say 40 days that works out at 27.5 grams a day. Go easy man.

He must have followed the instructions...

The sites have already been mentioned but going through a kilo of creatine in a months is complete overkill imo. Reign it in I've no doubt you'll still get the same results and have more money left.

My order of Creatine from Bulkpowders arrived this week, unopened:D. Haven't tried it yet, but it's a good deal.

Could the op possibly have used enough to not have to buy any more for the next month? I've read that creatine stays in your body for a while after you stop using it. (just trying to look for a positive out of all this!)

    Well when I used it I took 5g a go. Four sessions a week so 5g x 4 = 20g a week.

So a kilo would have last me a year! I know some people may need more than others but using over 30g *a day* is just wasteful.

Yeah it really is. At the VERY most I'd use 60g a week when I'm training hard.

Might be cheaper to go that route, half the crap out there is just creatine and caffeine anyways :D

Don't think I paid more than €25 per kilo for monohydrate.

Hi guys, I just started using creatine a couple of months ago. I bought my first container at Holland & Barrett but this has now run out. I heard / read somewhere else that I shouldn't buy it at H&B. Is this just a price issue or is other creatine better? H&B is convenient for me to get to but if there is better creatine then I would buy it from one of the sites mentioned in this thread.

Whoops, I didn't realise this thread was 5 years old! Perhaps there are some more up to date places to buy now?

    Thanks in advance.

Don't buy at H&B simply due to their rip-off prices. MP or Bulkpowders are your best bet, all you need is a product which is 100% Creatine Monohydrate after that it doesn't matter what fancy bull the producer throws on the label to sell it. There's no such thing as better quality in terms of difference between the reputable brands, just better value.

http://www.myprotein.com/ie/products/creatine_monohydrate. The 1k for 14 quid provides 200 5g servings. That will last you for a few months.

got shouted at for discussing creatine in the staffroom.

That stuff will ruin your liver. Youll be facked from it and die from liver failure.
