Sigma Vs Canon for Zoom glass

Ok I'm looking to get a standard zoom lens any personal opinions on these lens CANON 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM CANON 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS SIGMA 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG MACRO This is pretty much my limit price wise for the lens. I was hoping to get some nice zoom shots of wildlife, with sharp images any advice appreciated Kevin

Out of these I would rekon the Sigma being sharpest, all these lenses will be grand up to the 200mm mark and then they need a lot of stopping down to keep sharp f8+ I had the Sigma myself and got some great shots from it.

Yeah, the Sigma's a great lens for the price, though I believe the Canon 75-300 is much improved over the previous version

I bought a CANON 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III (no USM model) recently which is supposed to be a bit noiser and a tiny bit slower to focus than the USM model. Its cheap and cheerful. Its a bit soft after 200mm and needs good light.
