    Hi all, would anybody know if it is possible at all to join some crew i.e. are people any time looking for crew members? I would like to start sailing (I know how to do it) but I know nobody sailing here. I live in Dublin. Any hints please ?

    People are always looking for crew members, especially for club racing. Check out the websites of the various clubs, for example, www.hyc.ie and www.myc.ie.

    The Irish Sailing Association have full list of clubs on their site www.sailing.ie, many clubs have a crewfinder section on their website where you can leave contact details.

    Also a lot of clubs hold open days to encourage potential new members to try out sailing - especially at the start of the season so keep an eye out over the next month or two.
