castletroy junior scratch cup won with a 68...4 under.....won by 6....is that possible?

The John Lumsden memorial in Royal Dublin yesterday was won with a net total of 139 (66, 73) by a 5 handicapper from Portmarnock Links (his name escapes me, so forgiveness please if he's a boardsie!). CSS was 74 in both rounds, even though every group managed the 36 holes without a single drop of rain- don't think other scratch cups were as lucky

you'll expect the ball to break towards the slope of the hill on a few holes but that's not the case
they'll have them fast so one word of warning on the second hole(par 3) if the pin is on the lower level do not go above the hole or you could put your ball off the green,

If anyones interested the Intermediate Scratch Cup (10-18), open singles, is on in Wicklow G.C. on Saturday 27th August..... course in good condition, might be worth a spin......

Top Golfer Jnr Scratch cup in Glen of the Downs on Sunday 28th August. I believe its one of the last chances to score OOM points. Greens very good at the moment.
