Coax cabling Tutorial

Hi Folks, I was wondering if anyone here knew of any good links to tutorials or instructions on how to connect up Coax cables to wall sockets. The ones I have seem to have a spring/mesh thing but its not the inner copper screen to pass through, is it suppose to be terminated in this way? Does this have to be done in a…
