    Alright I'm 16 in a month and getting a gym membership for my birthday. Just want to know should I use any supplements to help bulk up?

    Thanks

    No. Your list of priorities should be;

    1) Learn how to lift weights
    2) Eat a **** load of food
    3) Be consistent
    4) Think about supplements

    The best bulking supplement is lots of clean calories, plus weight training.

    All the supplements that people pay good money for, things like testosterone and human Growth Hormone, you've got floating around in your blood for free. At 16, you are already primed for massive growth if you give yourself half a chance.

    If you are determined to spend your money on something, buy some whey or whey isolate.

    Wholemeal chicken sandwiches, milk, peanut butter sambos.

    Have a read of this too www.exrx.net

    +1. Whey is simply another dairy product. Many stores would not sell you any "chemical" supps anyway, but protein powder (with no additional active ingredients) is just another food.

    No, No and no.

    Get into a regular gym habit first, eat well. After 6 months readdress the situation.

    Hi,

    If you eat well you should make quick gains. You can get packs of small time of tuna, bout 15 grams of protein in each, eat a few of them every day. Eat a good portion of meat or chicken with your dinner and you should get enough protein.

    For carbs eat a lot of fruit and I cook up pasta each evening and eat it during the day, easy way to get the carbs in.

    Buy a whey protein supplement, take a few shakes per day along with hard training and you will see quick gains.

    Best of luck.
