Jack Daniels American Grill and Weight Loss?

I have been eating a very strict diet for the last few months and have lost over two stone (thanks again for all the advice :D).

I have been measuring my weight on a daily basis (at the same time every day) and I can pretty much tell before I hop onto the scales what I will weight. I am rarely out by more than 0.2kgs. I am within 2kgs of my target weight and have been stuck within the same 1kg range for about three weeks.

Yesterday I went out for an early dinner (3pm, I normally eat dinner at 6:30pm) and I went to TGI Fridays.

I went mad, and had the Jack Daniels American Grill. It was pretty awesome, but I was expecting my weight to be up a little today.
    JACK DANIELS AMERICAN GRILL
The ultimate American feast! Tender chargrilled chicken coated in jack Daniles glaze, a succulent 7oz rib eye steak flavoured with our steak seasoning, a generous serving of Jack shrimp, mushrooms & fires.
I was expectnig to be up by a little today, but surprisingly I was down 0.6kgs on yesterday???

I am trying to understand why this is?

When I work from home I drink 4 - 5 litres of water per day. Yesterday I was out for the day and only drank 1.5 litres. Could this account for the change?

I ate earlier in the day. I am sure this is a factor, but how much or a factor?

Is that it, or have I discovered a magic weight loss meal ;)

Yes, JD poured over fried food is a miracle weight loss meal. Now eat it everyday to lose the last 2kgs.

This is why people advise to weigh once a week at most. You had up to 3.5L less, that is 3.5kg, over half a stone.

I can sit in a pub and drink 6 pints without going for a wee, 3.4L or over 1/2stone. If I was dehydrated one day and had nothing in my stomach, or bowels, then the next day I could easily put on 3/4stone.

    Yes.

The more water you drink, the less you retain, as anyone who has had to make weight will tell you. Your liver processes water faster because it is used to it, and so when you didn't drink the extra 3 litres or so, your body continued to process at the same rate.

Or you had a mega Jack Daniels crap before you stood on the scales.

I was posting kind of tongue in cheek there.

One serious question I have relates to eating completly different types of food occasionally. I haven't eaten any "crap" for a good while and then I did and lost some weight. I understand that there were many other factors here, but can eating completely different types of food have a positive impact on weight loss?
