    Most units will never refuse a volunteer. Simple thing to do is to email or ring their O/C and ask about joining up.

    there are a few unit in galway there is the furbo craughwell mervue and city units so make sure you join closest unit;)

    Is anyone here in the Order of Malta in Cork? I just emailed them, hope to join soon! I figure I've been volunteering abroad for so long, it's time I did something in my own community.

    Civil Defence is very active in Galway and have quite a number of HSE paramedics and Advanced Paramedics in their membership. Look for Galwaycity Civil Defence or Oranmore Civil Defence on facebook.
