Keeping both arms the same size!

Ive been focusing on building mass since day one which was about 6-7 weeks ago.

Ive seen some great gains in that time but my right arm is starting to be noticeably bigger than my left.
Since day one ive always focused on keeping forum exactly the same for both arms and i always do the same weights for each arm for every session.

Has anyone else found this a problem?

It looks like ill have to start putting in extra sets for just my left arm.
The main difference seems to be in the triceps.
I work my triceps pretty hard already. Any extreme workouts for the triceps any of you guys can suggest so to get my left to catch up with my right quickly.

This shouldn't really happen, and i think it's perhaps down to technique. I've just posted these exact words in another thread :p but try to work on technique maybe?

It is common for your right arm to be bigger if you are right handed. Try switching to dumb-bells. With a bar bell is is all to easy to lift with your strong hand more.- this results in the strong arm getting stronger, and the weak getting weaker. I had the same trouble, I just laid off training the right arm until the left caught up.

Then in future when using barbells consciously try and lift the same amount with both arms.

well your right wrist is obviously gonna be stronger then your left.....

I'm sure a few extra reps with a dumbell on your left will help

I wouldn't do more work for my weak side. I'd do less for my strong side.

Although i would expect you arm to be slightly bigger on your strong side, i would be very surprised if there was a big size difference between the two. Are you sure that you arent just being a little paranoid that fiddling with yourself with your strong arm makes it bigger and people will notice!! :D

How much is a noticable difference? Measure your biceps!!

hummm. where to find a measuring tape.

dont have a tape but im sure i have some string and i have a few rulers in my desk at work.
I knew there was a reason i kept those rulers there.

Take that people who say hording pointless things is pointless. If you wait long enough you will find a use.

You don't need the ruler, just put the string on one arm, mark the spot and compare it to the other, if its bigger, its bigger.

What about relaxed? If there's a bigger difference there, tricep development is probably what you want to look at.
