Maybe now is the time for our first All Ireland

in light of recent (searches for a word that doesnt offend) discussions, perhaps it is now time for our (and by our i mean airsoft) all Ireland game

Its probably best to have this outside Dublin for the first one, and since galway is biggest and non dublin related, hopefully they agree and i know i should have asked -- my fault, so blame me...

I think its important for everyone to see the faces behind the names and realise we all have the very best of intentions.

It will also lay to rest once and for all that the great uniter here is airsoft...

Hows about the last saturday in april.(26th)..should be warm (Irish warm). thats far enough away for us all to try our best to make plans

kickoff at 11am so some people may need to travel the night before (again lets use that as a reason to have a laugh)

finish time 4pm thereby allowing people time to travel home.

sharing cars for all might be an idea, so people from dublin can pick up anyone on that route, same goes for cork or anywhere else

    now some guidelines

everyone from everywhere has to make a big effort to attend
everyone has to make an effort to break out of their usual groups (so for the love of Christ, no dublin versus the country...its the 21 century for gods sake!)
perhaps the retailers might like to go
perhaps the iaa might like to have a meeting at lunchtime or something like that to everyone about plans ?

    what say ye??

my moan (it is my thread)
I would ask the mods to rule this thread with an iron fist, well, everyone except me obviously...

I think he means a one-off game where everyone tries to attend.

I'd be up for that too.

Wait, hope this isn't like the other plan that was gonna be over 18s? Age limit?

Looks like a valuable word or two are missing.

I for one like this idea and will mention it to the committee and to G-Tac.

    okay by way of apology...

this was either a brain wave or a brain f**t

it sounds like i am 'volunteering' people here, that certainly wasnt my intention...

so the goal and objective...is to play airsoft with everyone..and for everyone to have a laugh

i dont care where or when

Add a poll to the thread.

    Will you attend?

    1. Yes, absolutely. Wild horses won't stop me.
    2. Not a chance.
    3. I'm not sure.
    4. I'm going to change my mind several times.
    5. Only if it's not raining/too windy etc.

You forgot to add the option of 'what if its a blue moon'
I personally never play when its a blue moon, whatever about anybody else:D:D:D

cant remember what the deal was about an age limit before, but if you can make your own way to galway or get a parent to take you, all well and good i guess, if your planning on staying the night before dont expect any of us to take responsibility for you though :D

i'd like to see a big trip to galway and it was something that the IAA has had in mind for a while but has got put on the long finger due to various reasons

As far as I know N.O.I.P has been planning something for a good while now. Although I'll leave it to him to announce any details.

I'll leave it open as I don't know if it's 100% set in stone. Was just something he said to me a while ago and recently enough again.

I just thought I'd mention it seeing as he seems pretty set on the idea of getting a big group down there. I'm sure when he comes on he'll clarify it a bit more. Either that or smack me upside the head for opening my big mouth :D

Hey lads, just a suggestion, What about S.A.C. in Longford? Its kind of central to the whole of the country. In an ideal world it would be Athlone or somewhere similar, but hey Longford's kind of in the middle and I believe its got a fairly good bus connections as well.

Trip to galway, and a night over?

    Brilliant.

I think every site should have a big game once a year, or at least a few of them should.

The hrta birthday was a big success, and I'll be damned if I wait another year for a day as much fun as that again :D

HRTA and Drogheda(99% sure) operate a 14s and up policy. GTAC and Skirmish, you'll have to check.

Oh, thats cool. HRTA nearly had to got to 16 due to insurance but luckily that didn't happen.

12s you say, brothers mate would love that, he cant play HRTA due to his age.

Here's another thought, how about making it a camping event? A section of ground could be set aside for tents, BBQs etc. Would be a great atmosphere with 50+ tents set up, and no one would need to spend cash on accomodation. You could even get a night game or two in then. :)
