    Hi Guys,

Im lookin to get somethin in one of the ehalth stores, to aid in gaining some muscle build & definition. Now im a beginner, so im not looking for that hey stuff or anything. Ive been told some form of protein supplement would be perfect to start off on. has anyone any ideas?

also a quickie - how good/bad is red bull, i know its full of chemicals/caffeine etc, but is it pretty bad for someone if they are trying to get fit and toned?

    appreciate your answers guys

What exactly are your goals? Weight / Height / Sex /Sports, etc?

    What is your current diet?

I presume you mean you want to avoid creatine, not "whey"?

Most protein supplements are just whey and would be a simple and basic way to add protein to your diet.

ya i guess i should of been more specific....

goals would be a more streamlined version of myself, not overly muscley but...at risk of sound gay here(maybe like sawyer from lost) type of look?

and yes creatine is what i meant....

at the min ...am 5'10, bout 14st/male/sport is minimal but i do run bout 3times a week, plus do weights 2/3 times a week

Red bull is full of sugar and ****e so i wouldnt advocate it if you want to get 'toned'.

as said whey protein is the most common supplement.
there is a 3 for 2 sale on at the minute in holland and barret for their whey protein, but i am unsure of the quality of it.

casein protein is a slower releasing protein, which i good for taking when you wont be eating for a long period of time, e.g.. before bed.
