Thsi is a general call out to all airsofters. We see alot of AEG/GBB reviews but not enough other gear reviews.

I would espically like to see people put reviews of:

    BDU's (seriously)
Comms Gear (Radio handesets and seperatly to that radio Headsets)
    Holsters
    Bags/Backpacks
    Hydration Systems
    Webbing/Tac Vests
    Anything else Airsoft Related.

Get it all in to the review forum. Im toying with the ideal of starting a sticky that will index the reviews as well.

If I get my custom headset soldered properly I'll do a guide. And areview of the Challenge Activate Radios which are great value.

Hydration systems, go to france. Seriously. Something that €30 here is €8 there!

Got these on a 50% sale so maybe they are discontinued in Argos(where I got em) and they are great. I paid 22.50 which is a steal but 45 is still very good as they are simple to use, last a day, plenty of range for airsoft and if they get lost you wont be losing €150. Thing was sourcing a headset but turns out its easy to convert one from any mono 2 jack pc headset(€12 in maplin, 60c for the jack and a few minutes of your time).

    forgot the pic:

Is there an issue with retailers posting independent reviews from their sites?

when i was a courier there were ways of making it that only we could hear each other or that we could only hear the base
    is that technology very dear

Lots have an "encrypted" mode but its just sound inversion or soething and just makes you sound like ET. True secure coms = $$$$$.

I guess I could review the webbing vest I have(I have the black one). Here it is:
    south_african_vest.jpg

Its very comfortable, and features plenty of mag space and there is lots of storage space in thedouble big back zip pouches. Its easily adjustible and as I said is very comfortable and stable even when fully loaded. You can already see the options for colours and patterns.
The only thing I'll say is to have the shoulder straps very tightened, otherwise you could find your webbing along with your ammo and gear strewn about the battlefield!!:eek:
I got it from Airsoft Scotland. Its qreat quality at the great price of €38.:D
    Hope this is helpful.

Yes unfortunitly that is an issue. If you want to loan out or give equimpent to people to test and review thats fine but a retailer reviewing their own stock is dodge for now unless we rework the comercial interaction to be something more like what Komplett and the like do.

Ill write somthing up on the PMR/8 Channel Radio system in general now and put it in the review forum.

Talking about holsters, I use a Safariland 6004 lh for my glock 17.
    Attachment not found.

have to say its a great piece of kit, the piece is real secure, I have it set up as a dropleg at the minute and when on the run you tend to forget about it, until you need it of course. The piece is also very well protected in it, only yesterday I was tearing around through all sorts of bush, brambles and god knows what else and it was still in there safe n sound when I was finished.

Radio info: When buy consider the aerial details, its usually the case that for every inch of aerial you have you can transmit for one mile with no obstructions, so if you on the top of a mountain you will get a greater distance... Also you have to consider the output power the greater the power output teh better the tranmission and the lack of crosstalk and signal detructions...

I used a set in the reserves when I was in the comms section, the important thing is to get something that is sturdy and robust, even if its a mile limit you will drop it and you will smack it around...

Got to agree with you there mate. only thing I found a bit dodgy with it was the bladder was sh1te! mine would leak from the lock on the bit valve, so i binned it, but the vest is ideal for a days skirmish.

No problem, its just that we have a review section on our own site and we could have posted some of them, cheers.

I paid £35 for one of them while in the UK. So did my brother. Well, actually we given them as prersents in the end but still:mad:

    RE PMRs:
The science museum ones I have no idea about but the GS100s:

    PLenty of range
Rechargeable batteries which last a day at a time
    Backlit
    Very easy to use
    Optional Roger Beep
    Vox, Adjustable
    Headphone socket
    Very Robust
Monitor function(Usefull for say teams comunicating while also listening to a preset emergency channel for marshals use.)
Loads of other setting that I have no idae how to use.

    Agreed,

You can tack it down or get a better one, They are only 12 Euro,

Also as for it being good for Day skirmish, Its good enough for over sea work, Better then the kit i was issued with,

Perfectly timed Rew, I took a few pictures of my new Guarder SOG vest to do up a review once I've had a chance to skirmish in it, and of course I've got comms gear to write about too since I get the occasional mail regarding it.

    So, +1 from me
