IAS are regular posters on here and are run from bray, they are very good to deal with and have quick delivery times.

The M4 itself, Dboys are a good brand, one thing to be wary of is the magazine that comes with some Dboys m4's can have feed issues, so it's worth picking up an extra magazine or two

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

ok cool just another quick question. is their head quarters in bray ??? cause it would be easier for me to go down and collect instead of getting it shipped ??? or do they even produce them in bray ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

No one in ireland produces airsoft equipment here yet, they are all made in asia.

IAS is currently only starting out and doesn't have an official premises yet, they are mainly an online retailer, however if you contact them I believe you can arrange collection.

Ok i shall look into i. but first i need like 200 Euros for the equipment and the gun itself. is the Clothing essential ?? cause i wont have tat much money...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

Clothes are nice but optional. Some people turn up to play in tracksuits or jeans. And if you're short of cash in the short-term, some of the sites (most??) can provide rental kit.

hmm just one more quick question then i will leave u alone. are all the magazines generic ???can they like all fit any AEG ??? and i have some camo pants so i could just combine that with a black top and i should be fine.....just not in the mood of getting hit with a 6mm BB and having that to stop it lol

I think they take most armalite type magazines not 100% though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

alright cool i found them. would 2 mags be enough or would it be safer to go for 3 ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭zero19

Depends on how you're gonna play i guess, if your gonna go full auto all the time you'd want 3-4 hi cap mags, again i'm not sure but i reckon you'd be okay with that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

full auto aint my style

yeah 2 clips will be fine then. Is 300cpc a good size ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭zero19

Yeah that should work so, can always get more anyway if you needed! They'd be fine

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

Yeah that should be fine then. just need to start saving now lol. is there any benfit to joining a team ???

also is there a good place to buy the milatary clothes and all that ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭zero19

Well i'm not on a team but i'm sure it offers a tactical advantage as for camo i can recommend these guys in the UK http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/ you can get British used DPM fairly cheap

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

Yeah all this stuffs looks really good and cheap too ^^

should have a look at it now.

are you the same fella from the airsoft bebo page? you wont be dissapointed with the S-System, its a great AEG, really comfy and nice weight to it, ya dont need any particular uniform or anything but your best bet is to come and have a game or 2 first and then every thing will be a lot more clear.,
if your buying more mags look for the 450round ones, more ammo in less space.,;)

Quoted for truth! Go out and play a rental game before spending money on kit, that way you'll have a much better idea of what you want.

Hi-Caps are the tool of the devil!

hmm yeah that might be me if my namer is "AyrtonF7" on it lol.

LOL., i love my hicaps, well, the ones i have left, i keep loosing them.,:D some AEGs are a bit selective about what ones they'll take put its not rocket science and is usually an easy fix., one thing o dont like about them is the "baby rattle effect".,

dont tuch it the design is flawed the frunt end will flp in the wind go for a cqb or a standerd m4 they are much stronger cas v or some thing and if you can go for a CA or J&G or some thing its worth it in the long run

first ive never heard of that? i have one that i got second hand a few months ago and its perfect, it needed a little tune up when i got it but its fine now and i love it., unless you get a metal bodied one then your never gonna have a perfectly ridgid rifle but for what it s id reccomend it from owning one myself.,

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 181 ✭✭I.A.S. Ltd.

I can assure you that nothing will flop/flip/etc. in the wind on that Airsoft. Its solidly built and well known as one of the best clone brands available. Considering a CA will cost you the price of 3 of these, its well worth the money you spend on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

ok thanks. i need to start off small cause theres no point in going out and buying some really expensive AEG and it breaking or mal-functioning and i wouldnt have a clue how to fix it.

How abouts can i go about renting a kit ??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 181 ✭✭I.A.S. Ltd.

Just give the owner of the site your going to a call before you head out to confirm there's rentals available the day you wanna go out and thats pretty much it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

oh thats cool.do you know what the price range is ?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

45 for a full day including rental aegs.,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

    ok cool.
    what does that include ???
    BBs ?
    Kit ?
    Eye Protection ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 94 ✭✭chopper j

    is it dboys

I had the dboys plastic and metel body system and it has a free floating frunt end IE nothing holding it in place the rail on my friends feel out the first day he used it the barel feel out i send 3 back befor i changed to a dboys cqb metel body its a lot better but in the end of the day i regret not just saveing up for a much better lower end ca for around the 250 300 mark coz they just wipe the floor with the dboys when it comes to rof and look and feel

even if its a tm system they a designed with no frunt delta ring and have a thendency to flap and lusen up a lot trust me skip it go for a all metal cqb or cas v or some thing were you will get that bit more strenght

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

the rail attachs to the top of the reciever and has a plate with 3 pins on it that lock it in, its pretty solid., are you sure it was an S-system you had?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Ayrtonf7

    yup it is dboys

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 94 ✭✭chopper j

yep theres a nother poster here to that got one and had to bring it back we got the plastic body dboys s-system first (mistake by suplyer) then we got the metel bodys and they were broken and stuf but the main prob is that if you have it in a slig and want it to withstand a lot of bashing around wile playing you have the wrong gun it will losen and go to hell

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 94 ✭✭chopper j

go for the coloset to top end you can manage your still looking at spnding like 140 bucks on low end why not go for 250 for high end 1 your going to hae a lot less hasel with it trust me if you dont want to go high end rute go for a stnoger form factor of the cqb better speck ie crane stock and batry means you can fit larger batrys easyer you get the dboys frunt delta ring that will mean you can get easyer fiting for difrent frunt ends and you wont be as scared about bashing the thing around also

be warned hi caps in the metal bodys in dboys miss feed alll the time mid caps dont but all this info can be backed up but paul at hrta he worked on one of the s-systems belonging to my friend after the frunt feel of it befor he got to fire a shot in anger cqb is the best from dboys then cas v metal then th system

but id say save up go for a ca with a crane stock and standerd m4 set up and take it fomr there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,828 ✭✭✭✭Witcher

Lethal bullet where abouts is ur team station from ?? i am only 14 so that might be a problem but i do tend to have an act for these sort of things...warlike and all...

ok so now that my Choice is out the window does anybody have any good recomendations for a new AEG

it just needs to be below 300euros
    has to be reliable
has to be able to take Attachments (grenade launchers)
    has to lookk nice

never assume price is a reflection of reliability.,;) theres clones out there that are bulletproof and ive seen a few high end AEGs suffer from problems that would pi*s you off after paying the price tag for them,. maintenance, care and attention will keep your gun going strong a lot longer than the price tag will,.,:)
to the OP, if the s-system is the kind of thing your after then id reccomend it as its a good AEG, i dont really like armalites though so id go with something else, be it G36 or AUG etc but thats just personal preference.,:)

    http://www.eirsoft.ie/store/product_info.php?cPath=22_29&products_id=142

its an extra 100 but its worth it in the long run realy

but if your sticking to the budget go for the

    http://www.eirsoft.ie/store/product_info.php?cPath=22_29&products_id=155

its stroing and fully upgraded bar all it needs is metel bushing they only cost bout 5 bucks and your done will give any 300 - 500 aeg a run for its mony with a 9.6v and will work best with the 6€ a pop mid caps

Rathgar. And I know you're fourteen, you posted it on the bebo:p

If you want nade launchers go with something with loads of underside rail space aka an M4 S-System. BUT, 203s are like €160! Then there's spare shells and they're pretty useless from what I can tell.
