    What be one O Dem?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

for indoor cqb, music would be a good laugh (even did it once or twice at the old hrta) but out in the field the sound wont carry properly and if it's loud enough to carry for a skirmish, then the landowner wont appreciate it

pity might add some fun to the games

Could make like different tracks for dif games and also add sound effects like gun shots and explosions would be cool :)

Slightly off topic: Havnt been in fibbers for years (bout 6) and we got a gig cumn up there soon enough. Whats it like these days? Im just confused as to where they stick the stage!

Youd need some gigantic sound system to play at HRTA and i wouldnt like to know the cost of one that could withstand Irish weather for a year.

a fair bit alright, have it loaded in the back of one of the vans and closed up when theres no games on/raining the main problem would be powering it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 94 ✭✭chopper j

like i sead pimp out of of the vans

if you had the back of the van then pointing away from the house thats another problem solved but some just dont want music and theres no one probabaly going to pay for equipment or pay for fuel for a generator so although its a ncie thought it wouldnt work ever

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

4 of these, a cheapo mixer, a diesel gennie and an iPod in the back of one of the vans... Sorted.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 985 ✭✭✭Mark_Sc

Gunshots, explosions and shouts... now that would add to the effect

Oh man, split level design and think of the drinking games... Regen points are the bars, down a shot before going out. Anyone who runs out of ammo mid game gets a Mexican Hat Trick as a penalty.

    I'm officially in.

Last time I was there I stood at the top of the stairs offering hugs to anyone who passed while singing Christy Moore songs, so you wouldn't be alone.

Also I have a 200 watt PA system and a bunch of mixers and cd decks with digital inputs for MP3 players/laptops from my rock club djing days. I was gonna bring it down for the birthday game but I didn't think people would want loud music.

    Just saying is all...

Edit: You're all thinking waayyyy to obviously. How has noone mentioned blasting Ride of the Valkyries while charging? Or playing a slow and nice song while everyone goes at it hammer and tongs? How awesome would hearing "Don't worry, be happy" play while you lay down covering fire for an advancing assault? Just for the sheer irony.

Fibbers is awful since the emos started going there, i'm there now and then and i wish i had my P90 most of the time lol As for an outdoor PA Thomann do a lot of sound engineering gear for good prices...

Off-topic: Fibbers is an absolute dive. Then again, €3 drinks and DJ on wednesdays and thursdays.

Blast out the Gladiator soundtrack - guaranteed that everyone will have switched to melee weapons and started beating the holy ****e out of each other :D

Thats a good Idea, but to avoid unwanted bloody noses due to physical voilence how bout blasting out the Black Hawk Down Soundtrack, that way you get good music and people shooting each other(And I cant think of anything better than doing that!!!:D)
    Hanz Zimmer Rocks!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 638 ✭✭✭Endaaaagh

now I may be fairly new to airsoft but I can see any reason why anyone wouldn't want to skirmish to this.... :D
