Building Muscle

    Hi All

    Im new to weight lifting with my overall goals being to bulk up mainly in the shoulder and belly area. Just wondering could anybody recommend the best exercises for building muscle on shoulders and abs.

    Building muscle won't happen quickly. It takes patience. That might be the first thing to work on...

    are you trying to build your abs?
    they will only show if there is a very small body fat around your stomach.
    usually you need a body fat percentage around 8 to 10 %.

    I like military presses and lateral and front db raise for shoulders.

    Might as well add something useful...

    For shoulders:
    Military Press
    Seated Press (with bar or dumbbells)
    Lateral raises (seated or standing w/ dumbbells or a cable)
    Bent over lateral raises (same as above)

    Foe bulking your belly:
    Copius amonts of food
    But assuming you want a 6 pack... more muscle all over, and lower bodyfat.
