Dad just rang me there, he said there's a Fujitsu Siemens 'Business Notebook' F26084-V421-A2 in Dunnes Stores for 449 euro, "Save 100 euro" on it

Closest thing I Can come up with is on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.it/Futjitsu-Siemens-F26084-V421-A6_W0QQitemZ150196573005QQcmdZViewItem

It comes up as A6 in the title, but in the decription it comes up as A2

Is it a bargain? Can anyone giv eme more info?

The oul man was just going to buy it for the Sister who's in college, all she'd be using it for is browsing the net, doing up documents etc. etc.

    Any advise appreciated, thanks

The spec from the ebay page:
    Model F26084-V421-A2 Amilo Pro V2035 CM 380 1,6Ghz 15,4
WXGA 2x256MB 60GB DVD+R+-RW DLL WLAN XP ProP
    UniChrome Pro 3D/2D
    Klasa procesora Intel Celeron M

I'd say the one in Dunnes will be running vista. If this is the spec then I'd spend my money on something more worthwhile like magic some magic beans. It's an absolutely dior spec especially if it's running vista.

Oh im aware of the spec on the link alright. I just don't know if this is the same machine? Pretty sucky alright. Obviously the first thing i'd do is put XP on. I hate my sister, but don't hate her enough to make her use Vista :D

Just be aware that some of the newer hardware has no drivers available for XP.

Have a read of this article:
