dairy free indian food!

    Anyone have any help for me am headin out for indian food tonight and am on a strict dairy free diet. Is everything cooked in ghee? (clarified butter) What can i eat?

    Just ask! Usually they will use oil instead of ghee if you ask.

    Be careful of nan bread though, it can have dairy in it and on it.

    Most indian restaurants/takeaways use oil instead of ghee,except on nan breads(which contains eggs and milk aswell).
    Stay away from any dishes containing the following words and you should be ok:

    korma(contains cream/yogurt)
    tikka masala(contains cream/yogurt)
    paneer(cottage cheese)
    dahi.........(yogurt)
    makhani(butter)
