COD4 PS3 Clan

Howdy,

I used to be a pretty hardcore CSS and BF2 the last clan I was in OHK, we still get along really well and it's going so far as I'm off to wales for a piss up with them cause we've been playing together for 2 years or so. ANYROAD, I'm looking to start a clan now. I know there's a thread here somewhere but I think it's for another group. I'm 21 and don't take myself too seriously, but if it gets to a point where we're against another clan it's all business and needs to be approached as so. ^^

Anyway, it won't take anything for me to throw together another forum or use my mates one if he still has it up. I'd be looking for chaps that play on a regular basis, have mics(or will have at some point)have some experience of being in a clan playing similar team games(any platform)and generally want to have a laugh. Preferably people who work,are i college etc, just to have a similar ground. It's nothing against school kids but it helps when you can all groan about how twisted you got on the weekend then rang your mates girlfriend to say you love her,only your mate answered and heard everything before you realized who you were talking to,etc etc the usual!

Anyway, if your interested, I'd love to hear from another clan based on the PS3 platform too to organize a match when the team is formed.

Name wise, I'm thinking -=SS8=- (Suicidal Section 8) Kind of an ongoing joke I have with a mate in the marine corp,bless! Any interest, you can post up here, drop me a PM, or add me on PSN (Sic-SideFX)

Oh and ranks don't matter right now. I only went online this evening and I'm only on Level 12, but it seems pretty handy to jump up the ranks, so if your just getting used to things, don't worry so am I, but being a quick learner and team player is a must!

TBH I think most Boards players of COD4 are already involved in the existing Boards clan, AK47, which has quite a long thread on this page. I'd suggest you join that instead. Check the thread out for details on joining, and on the seperate Clan website / forum.

But if the clan is getting that big it'll stop people from being able to play together as a full team and from my experience most small groups like that tend to separate and form their own clans due to feeling uninvolved with the rest of their group.

I'm interested in getting a small clan going (6-8 members or so) but would be looking for some sort of criteria behind it i.e Rank 55+, K.T.D ratio of at least 1 etc.

Yeah thats what I mean. I don't want or really feel the need to be part of a huge clan. I think you can get the same amount done in a smaller more organized group. And I agree with the criteria, although I don't meet said requirements yet, I'm only level 26,but for 2 days of playing I can't see it taking much longer. Duck to water! ^^ Add me anyway.

Yeah no bother, I'm Major now, level 34 I think it is. Should be another few days until I'm 55, I'm not going to bother with prestige mode as I'm only leveling up at this rate in order to have a high level criteria for entry.If your interested in joining, it will have to be a level 55,cap, or at least into prestige mode. K/D ratio would need to be pretty good but I was **** for my first few levels and kinda messed that up. And now I'm only playing hardcore search and destroy so I don't get a chance to rack up large numbers of kills. There would be a small trial period I suppose to see how you fare up and play as a team.Have a forum up but I won't bother populating it yet until we get off the ground.

I did indeed, but by join, you mean, one person added me and I have yet to see/play with anyone online! Fair enough it's not completely organized yet or whatever. Level 37 now btw. Should be up near or past 50 by the weekend so we can get ready to setup SS8.cheers folks

*edit* also it'll be pretty important for all members of SS8 to have mics seeing as its the only form of communication in the game(lack of typing/text support) I'll draw up a proper list of rules and regs when we're ready to go.

And that was our fault somehow? We are online 5, 6 sometimes 7 nights a week and if you're on then Rick (other main host) or I will invite you, simple as that. Nobody but you have complained so far. Everyone that wants to play gets to play. In fact, some nights we are actually short.
Also, we are well organised thank you very much. If you read our fourms you'd have seen that.

Ive no prob you setting up your own clan, but please inform AK47, after all you did join us only a few days ago.

If you read the forums we have threads about all the different nights that are organised, have you added more than one or two of the clan members so you don't have to wait on only one or two people to invite you? It will give you a better chance to get involved in games

Once you get yourselves sorted - come and challenge us to a game or two.

Apologies for not getting you sorted for games but with 69 members, only 50 friends on PSN, and no decent clan support in COD4 it's always takes a few days for kev or I to clean off ppl from friends list to make way for new members, but we do our best to accomodate - and weekends are the worst as I try to built brownie points with the missus for the coming week

Nice one Rik! Thats all I was saying, it's just a little too big for me right now! My clan members from my PC days are now my friends like, I like to get along with the guys aswell as game with them, so we'll defo organize matches when we're up and running! no hard feelings at all! The AK47 Clan has been growing nicely over the last few months, I think it's a bit presumptuous of you to just stick your name down and expect to be invited in every time you sit at the PS3. Most of the guys in the Clan that play regularly also contribute to this forum and the AK47 forum regularly, just as the camaraderie that you had with your old Clan, i'm sure it evolved slowly over time.

I'm not being an Ass but the tone of your posts on here are pretty condescending to the lads who I think have done a very good job (particuluarly Kev and Rikd) considering the site is only up a few weeks and we have been playing online together for a few months.

As a new clan we know we have a few things to sort out(We have our own league,match and we've recently just joined up on ps3 ladders), I think a problem we are having is that you decided to join then didn't even attempt to join us on a clan night to see what we are like. I don't see how you could have a fully rounded opinion about our organisation TBH, but you are entitled to your opinions

Good luck with the clan anyway and i'm sure we all hope to have some good clan matches in the future:D

You do now how this forum thing works don't you? I replied to you with two calm posts. One of them looking to help you out on how to be more a part of the clan yet you reply with grow up,and don't take it so serious....Can i just say you are the one with rules about what level people should be at to join your clan etc.(sounds like you take it awful serious). We let anyone join cause we are just looking to enjoy the game with other players

Hi I'm on most nights getting alot more kills now allthough I still die alot I've only managed to get into one clan invite whenever I come out of a match i've been playing and click yes on the invite it never seems to let me in.

Do you start at any time in particular?

I do get that problem some nights too, sometimes it just won't connect with certain players on my friends list. Can be really annoying but then other times it can be grand

I'm afraid I have yet to reach maximum level and im not going to be a hypocrite and say you have to be 55 to join if im not. so no clan till then im afraid. Im sure AK47 will take you on as they mass recruit and have no requirements. they're not all bad guys

Almost every one of your posts has been either abusive, condecending, controling (your rules, requirements etc), egotistical or threatening.

You've come across as a bit of a spanner, I don't know any of these lads at all, but I do know that there has not been one ounce of hostility until you started putting down the current Clan setup (which you are entitled to do, may I add, it's just the way you said it!) and insisting that in your past life you had a far better Clan setup, and posting about you far better (not yet created) solution

Just let this one go, this thread is going no where and you popping back every few hours and passing a pointless comment is getting you nowhere, spend less time posting on this thread and more time getting yourself to Lvl 55 so you can get your own clan going, and we'll have a clan match and kiss and make up;)

Guys, this is ridiculous. Some people just don't feel like joining the regular 60+ members clan. I can forgive the threadstarter for wanting to start his own small clan, as like he said, he's used to a smaller friendly clan.

I used to be in a clan with about 12 members. We played together most nights, became friends, and had lots of fun! If you're playing in a big clan with 18 different players or so every night, is that not the same as playing with randomers?

I don't understand why AK47 were trying to stop him from doing this. Recruit members, play matches, do your business, but why stop someone else from making a clan too? Everyone here is talking about childish behaviour, and maybe the threadstarter was getting angry and carried away, but hijacking a thread is not on. I'd recommend Ak47 leaving the thread and everyone getting on with their own business..
