Love this thread - love being told when somebody wins and absolutely love when somebody wins something that they can't use and offers their win here.

I hate any competitions which direct you to a "facebook" page - can't stand them, hate any competition that requires "votes", hate competitions which costs money (those phone thingys).

Would like if all the facebook/twitter comps were made invisible but that's not fair on those people who do them.

Yeah I love this thread and have been following for a few months, the FB page is a bit messy and thanks to whoever said about the 'edit options' re the emails!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 100 ✭✭coolclogher

I have been an avid follower of this thread and dream away about winning multiple prizes until such time as the results are published and reality dawns that I have actually won nothing!! Nevertheless in these s....y times I get my feel good quota daily when entering competitions from this thread.
Please keep up the good work.

The Facebook group as far as I have seen so far are 99% facebook comps so if you do not have facebook access you are not missing out, maybe the slowdown is just the lack of facebook comps.

This is very true. Also the majority of my wins have been from Facebook and Twitter but if other people don't want to go that route it's up to them.

I love this thread and I hope it doesn't go.
I didn't realise that some posts were advertising and I wondered how some were so good at sourcing comps.
I mainly post ere and have only got hooked since jan and have won a few books, t shirt Cd and cinema tickets, I really enjoy the banter, no major prize.
So please Darragh lets hope we can work it

Our biggest release today is Black Swan soooooo tell us the name of the lead actress and then email us your answer, name & address to competitions@xtra-vision.com before 10am on Monday 16th May we will pick ten of you at random to receive copies of the movie
Just found out I won this, thanks! This is the beginning of my winning hot streak I reckon :)

I'm a constant lurker on this thread (How do you guys find them so fast? I can't keep up!) and I just want to voice my support for it! I noticed a couple of companies posting their own comps a little while ago and had no idea that it counted as advertising.

I don't think judging it by postcount is fair because this forum doesn't add to your postcount, so I think restricting access soccer style is the way to go if necessary.
