Its so annoying that companies and promotion agancies haven't copped on that these voting competitions just dont work. There is one family in particular that have won 80 - 90% of all the voting comps on facebook in the last year id say which is highly annoying, in fact they are the same people that already have 45 votes in this very comp so why would anyone bother entering!!

Sorry rant over, but it really gets on my nerves!

    +1

The Olympia have chnaged this competition to an email one instead of one based on Facebook 'Likes'.

"Hi all, as not everyone is happy with our competition for The Field being based on the 'likes' system, we are going to rejig the comp so its fair & square! To be in with a chance to win dinner for 4 in The Italian Corner & 4 seats to see The Field, email info@olympia.ie & let us know who is playing the role of "The Bul...l" McCabe in this show. Winner will be picked out of a hat and announced tomorrow afternoon..."

Fantastic stuff, maybe we should complain more often and then they might all begin to listen. Fairplay to the Olympia, they obviously value their fans and there reputation if they are willing to change a comp like that.

Normal compers: 1 Spam Compers: 0

I doubt many will enter this because it involves a lot of effort and then you have to get loads of views on your youtube video but if you make a good one it could go viral and could be an easy win!

OK - let's see what you've got with a mic in your hand. All you have to do is:

    1. Listen to the radio ad and download the lyrics sheet below
    2. Record and upload a video of yourself singing the song 'Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki' to the tune of 'Sweet Home Alabama'
    3. The two winners whose videos have the most views at the time of selection will be contacted by phone or e-mail. The first will be selected on the 19th January to sing in the new Radio ads and the second on the 26th January. Winners will need to be available to travel to London to record the radio ads on 21st January and 28th January respectively (view full terms and conditions below).
    4. The entrant whose video has the most views when the competition closes on 22nd February will win £1,000 cash (€1,500 in ROI), a PS3™ and a copy of the Karaoke game Singstar®.
When you're done, see all the performances on our YouTube page.
What are you waiting for? Get singing and sharing!
