Let's face it; the men of Ireland come in for a fairly bad rap at the best of times. But, even though our country is deep in the mire, there are those rare shining figures in public life who remind us why it's great to be Irish.
And so it is that JOE.ie has launched The Men of the Year Awards 2010 to celebrate the best (and the worst!) of Irish men - and the fun part is that you get to decide who wins! All you have to do is head over to www.JOE.ie and get voting.
You can vote for the people who made a difference, made the effort, made us laugh or made a complete mess of things in 2010, with nominees ranging from sportsmen to entertainers to businessmen to politicians.
Did we mention that you can win a pair of tickets to the star-studded award ceremony in Dublin plus €300 to spend as you wish, simply by casting your vote?
The poll closes at noon on 6th January 2011 so GET VOTING.

To celebrate the release of the highly-anticipated 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader', which opens in cinemas on 9 December, we have a special family prize package to give away.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - In cinemas from 9 December
This prize includes a family pass to a special preview screening of the film on Sunday, 5 December at the Savoy cinema, O'Connell Street, Dublin, plus overnight accommodation for a family of four (two adults and two children aged 12 or under) on 4 December at the Academy Plaza Hotel.

Return to the magic and wonder of CS Lewis' beloved world - via the fantastic Narnian ship, the Dawn Treader. In this new instalment of the blockbuster, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace, their royal friend King Caspian and a warrior mouse named Reepicheep, find themselves swallowed into a painting and onto the Dawn Treader. Their mission - on which rests the fate of Narnia itself - takes the courageous voyagers to mysterious islands and a river that turns to gold, to fateful confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies and to a reunion with their friend and protector, the "Great Lion" Aslan.

The Best Western Premier Academy Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of Dublin, just off the capital's main thoroughfare O'Connell Street. This Best Western 4* hotel boasts 285 stunning new bedrooms and suites, with modern facilities in all rooms. Hotel amenities include a stunning Lobby, Sir Harry's Bar, Abacus Fine-Dining Restaurant, Abacus Oriental Buffet and the hotel's Bistro. Other additional facilities within the Academy Plaza Hotel are seven meeting rooms which can fit up to 120 delegates, a Gym, Beauty Salon and Games Room. The Best Western Academy Plaza Hotel also offers complimentary WiFi access throughout the entire hotel to keep guests happy.

To be in with a chance of winning, just answer this question:

The Great Lion 'Aslan' features in 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader':

    A) True
    B) False

Send your answer, name, address and telephone number, marked 'Narnia Competition', to travel@rte.ie.

One entry per person. Closing date: Wednesday 1 December.

    Terms and conditions:
Competition is open to island of Ireland only.
