I thought a stone in 6 weeks was the most you could lose?

I heard here that you could lose a stone in 6 weeks. I joineda Gym & went through a workout plan & was told that it woas possible I could lose 10lbs in 4-6 weeks. Which is true?

You do realise that 10 lbs in 4 weeks is virtually the same as a stone in 6 weeks?

Rates of weight loss depend on many factors: Starting weight, volume of exercise, and so on.

I could lose 7lb in a day, easily enough. It would be mainly water though, have a dump and a pee too. All a scales shows is your gravitational force! not how fat you are. You could lose 10lb of fat in 4 weeks, but it is not advisable, screws your metabolism up.

Most say to aim for no more than 1-2lb fat loss per week. I would personally go for 1/2lb per week, slower off -more likely to stay off IMO.

If you are starting out you will drop water weight fast, then weight loss will slow as it is then mainly fat that you do start to lose.
