I know there have been a few threads similar to this but it appears all the people who posted have joined.
I am looking to join Northwood as part of the 3 for 2 offer. I am currently looking for either 1 pair looking for a third, or 2 singles and myself to make up 3. I see on some post that the offer may end the 13/02/2008?
I can go up any night this week

I'm already a member of a gym - I was just thinking what a terrible promotion this 3 for 2 offer is. You're not buying shampoo.

If you go back it would be interesting if you can tell us how many people were able to find 2 others to join with them.

In my experience you'd be better off trying to get a better deal for yourself on your own. Have a chat with them, tell them you are talking to other gyms - talk to other gyms. Get prices and compare. They should be able to knock off the admin fee and joining fee - these are pure fat.

Tell them you are a memeber of a gym and looking to change over - they wont look for proof of this and will likely start crossing off fees - I've done it.

Also if they promise you any free months get them up front and not "at the end of the year"

Ask them how canceling the subscription is handled.

Sit and read all the fine print on the back of the contract in front of them and ask them about anything you don't understand.

All I can say is that I got to renew my membership last week with 2 friends who were joining for the first time and it only cost me €250 for the year. excellent value.

How good is Northwood? I live very closeby, and wouldn't mind having a membership to there as well as my gym in Swords.

There's a good bit of info here http://www.neighbours.ie/dublin9/showthread.php?t=16

It has a scan of the brochure too.

If you're interested, we're going to go up tonight ??
