    Lads - Carla Bruni, the aquaduct & good sanitation (my God have you ever tried to use one of those poxy french squat-over-a-hole-in-the-ground-bogs?) are all Italian.

    I think the aquaduct and sanitation were merely quoting from the Life Of Brian as I phrased the question like "What have the Romans ever done for us???"

    As for Mrs. Sarcozy (spell) I didn't know that.

    I didn't say it was a problem! There seems to be plenty of wimmens threads on here. No harm I suppose dividing the threads into favourite nationalities and/or favourite anotomical parts!!! :D:D:D
    e.g. Argentina -> subdivision: ass -> Keyra Augustina!! :D:D

    I had come to that conclusion myself, but I am just questioning why as just when the forum seems to be returing to it's former manly glory a post like that comes along!

    Next one of the metros will probably say they invented the man bag or comment on some beauty product that all the french men use and is amazing or whatever!!

    Down with this sort of thing!!!

    ...maybe inspired a few more Revolutions here and there?

    (and actually lent a hand over here ;))

    As this is "Beer Guts and Receding Hair", it's worth adding the baguette, the croissant, foie gras, the steak tartare and *mmmmm... ponders really-REALLY-REALLLY hard about which catch-all to pick* the St Emilion, go on.

    I wasn't actually stating that they have done nothing merely thinking of an amusing and thinly veiled way of starting a hot wimmens thread! :rolleyes:

    +1 Melissa Thereau

    Aside from women, if it wasn't for the French being such a bunch of pansies and being part of the cause for the Vietnam war, we would never have been given Platoon

    The Millau viaduct is in FRANCE and they didn't invent viaducts. They have been around since Roman times.

    Still, it is impressive, I saw the Discovery Channel progaramme about the building of it.

    It costs E5.70 to cross the 2,460m bridge.
    If NTR ran it, it would cost E34.20 based on it's length v. length of West-Link.

    The french, for all the talk about their fine foods, make the best burger and chips in the world. The last time the hubby and I were in Paris we ate in chippers morning,noon and night. In one chippers we had a battered rabbit, and in another a deep fried pheasant, divine
