Toyota do such a huge range of cars for the Japanese market, it's a pity they don't sell more of them over here.

Thge Toyota Land Cruiser as we know it is sold as a Lexus in the States. People have really been brand duped when they buy a Lexus, a Toyota in disguise. Don't get me wrong Toyotas are not bad cars by any stretch of the imagination but paying a premium for a "L" instead of a "T" in the front grille just doesn't make sense.
Was looking at the (future) sis in law's Lexus 400h & comparing it to my Land Cruiser and there is a shocking amount of carry over from one to the other.

Mind you I think Aston Martin were guilty of raiding the Ford/Volvo parts bin too.

This is a top of the range Toyota Century, built for the Emperor.

    pukiwiki.php?plugin=ref&page=CAR%2F%A5%C8%A5%E8%A5%BF%2F%A5%BB%A5%F3%A5%C1%A5%E5%A5%EA%A1%BC%A5%ED%A5%A4%A5%E4%A5%EB&src=20060707-00000028-maip-soci-view-000.jpg

Its twice the size of a Lexus GS 430

    pukiwiki.php?plugin=attach&refer=CAR%2F%A5%C8%A5%E8%A5%BF%2F%A5%BB%A5%F3%A5%C1%A5%E5%A5%EA%A1%BC%A5%ED%A5%A4%A5%E4%A5%EB&openfile=1125484198668.jpeg

The basic century looks like this, sort of monstrous oversized 1988 Carina but
can be bought without those wing mirrors. As for the emblem, Its either a peacock or the Roadrunner......:)

At the lower end of the scale, there would be these two (available in LHD rest of Europe)

    renault-logan-front-lh-static.jpg
    lrg_article_7609-img_0.jpg

Then there is the Suzuki Jimny Diesel (with the 1.5 Diesel from Renault) which also is not available in RHD

    ips_20744382.jpg&usg=AFQjCNHuKPpgMrTFYFZLD1QvmykAJYhDeQ

slighly more "exotic" ...the Indian made Tempo Trax (loosely based on the Mercedes G-Wagen)
Although initially built in RHD in India, to my knowledge you can only ever get them in Europe in LHD
(by all accounts a very strong, durable (and cheap!) workhorse)

The problem with selling the FJ cruiser here is the market would also demand they sell a diesel version which would have to be called a BJ cruiser. I don't think that would work too well!

BMW E60/E61 535i(twin turbo straight 6 from the 135i and 335i).BMW E90-E93 328i, E60/E61 528i(and for good reason, it has a rather old fashioned engine by BMWs standards today, no direct injection and 230 bhp from it's 3.0 litre engine, a North American special because their fuel can't handle direct injection).
BMW E90-E93 323i, never figured out why they don't sell that in Europe, the same engine is found in the 523i.

Others I've thought of have already been mentioned, though the Opel GT hasn't, and what about the Chevrolet Prism, the car that was a Corolla?

There's also the current generation Polo, Opel Corsa and Astra, as well as the Toyota Yaris saloon which are found elsewhere but not here(the Polo and Corsa saloon are even available in RHD, so why VW and Opel never offered us these is a mystery to me).

Geo Prizm actually, only sold in North America. They were owned by General Motors, and they had a car called the Geo Metro, which was really a Suzuki Swift.

Initially yes, but became a Chevy in later years when GM got rid of GEO;).
