Programming Radios

    Hi Guys,
    I have several Motorola GP300's to program. I have the necessary software and I know all about the Motorola licensing agreement. The problem I have is years ago when I programmed this type of radio, computers were dinosaurs compared to today. Modern computers are too fast and dont allow exclusive access to the com port. I could reboot in dos but the computer will still be too fast. Have any of you guys had success with any program to slow your pc down. I have heard of MoSlo, but I have also heard of the problems of it not working properly.
    Any suggestions?

    I've retained an old Win 98 PC for the job, works fine, you could probably get one for little or nothing these days.

    I have multiple 8088, 80286, 80386, 80468 etc I have one old Dell with DOS.622 only for programming radios.

    I have a 450Mhz PIII laptop with win98 for programming sat receivers. The SW is badly written, so while it nearly works on XP on 1.8GHz, it doesn't work reliably on any speed of CPU on Win2000 or WinXP.
